Review: Great Property
Spent a very nice week here with my family. Everything was just perfect. House is very big . All bedrooms are Master bedrooms. Pool is on thg smaller side but plenty big for what we needed. Patrice was a outstanding host and the manager and his staff were very helpful. They went above and beyond what was ever expected of them. If your looking for a place to stay to enjoy this island, here it is. A little piece of heaven .

Review: Peaceful Haven
Just spent 5 nights at Casa La Mera Mora and was very pleased. The house was spotlessly clean upon arrival and we were greeted at the door by the housekeeper who showed us around the property then ran and got pizza for us since we arrived later in the evening! Benito the property manager was usually close by as well and always reachable by text or phone which he answered promptly.
Located at the southern end of Isla Mujeres is a much more residential area and quieter than the north end. You will need a golf cart to have the freedom to get out and explore freely but there are plentiful taxis on the island as well. The pool area of the home was perfect for relaxing and the sound of the water feature was perfect music for an afternoon siesta! Be aware that this is a developing neighborhood and there will be construction workers in the area working but this was never an issue for us.
All in all we had a great stay at Casa la Mera Mora and would not hesitate to come back for another stay…..sooner than later I hope!

Review: We stayed at gorgeous Casa la Mera Mora in Feb. \’19 and loved every minute! The owner has done an exceptional job decorating with a fun, airy beach touch combined with authentic Mexican furniture and lively color. Casa la Mera Mora\’s open great room is spacious for a few or comfortable for hosting many. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and more! Themed bedrooms were cozy and delightful. Scrumptious high-thread count cotton sheets, comforters and luxurious bamboo towels were as wonderful as any 5-star hotel! Views from the rooftop patio were stunning for sunrise coffee or sunset cocktails. Location at the south end of the island was ideal for the best of all worlds: solitude when we wanted it, a short drive to shopping/dining in town and easy access to beach clubs or public beaches anywhere on the island. We will make Casa la Mera Mora our home away from home for every future trip to Isla Mujeres!!! Thank you, Patrice!

Review: Our stay at Casa La Mera Mora was awesome. The house was wonderful with great indoor and outdoor living space and bedrooms. We had ocean views from our bedroom and crazy views of the ocean on both sides of the island from the roof. Each bedroom had it’s own air conditioner and bathrooms were luxurious with abundant solid marble finishes. We rented a golf cart and drove all over exploring the island. There are a number of great restaurants to choose from, we enjoyed Mango Café for breakfast and found outdoor dining with live music for dinner. We enjoyed exploring the island, the beaches, dining, shopping, we chartered a sailboat, and took advantage of the $20 massages on the beach. We made great memories and our daughter keeps asking to go back. I’d highly recommend Casa La Mera Mora as a great vacation option.
Review: Well appointed house on the peaceful south end of the Island
Patricia and her local team were great! They responded immediately to any questions we had and made sure that we were all set.
This house had everything we needed – and more! Meticulously decorated and well stocked with all the amenities you could want, the house was a wonderful place to relax and a good base from which to enjoy the island. Pool, hot tub, washer and dryer, televisions in 3 bedrooms and the living room, internet access, games, lots of towels, a well stocked kitchen, daily house cleaning by lovely sisters and much more!
Since the house is near the southern point of the island, having a car (which can easily be brought over from Cancun by taking the Cargo Ferry out of Punta Sam for 500 pesos round trip including 4 passengers), golf carts or bikes (preferably with gears) makes it easy to explore the island.
If you are looking to snorkel, Garrifon De Castillo Beach club is on the bay side past the all inclusive Garrafon Park Zipline place and the Joint (Reggae Bar). We paid 90 pesos ($4.50) a person to snorkel on their reef and use their facilities. Definitely the best snorkeling on the island (which is not a great snorkeling destination) -there is some coral, several schools of colorful fish in all different sizes, and easy beach access.
While most people go to the beach at the northern tip of the island, we preferred the bay side beach clubs on the southern end like Playa Indios Beach Club – where you can hang out for the day and enjoy their beach and facilities as long as you have lunch (200 pesos for all you can eat buffet) or drinks/food.

Review: Artsy, safe, relaxing!
We were so impressed with the ambiance of this home. We loved the touches of art all over the place. The house is new and clean and relaxing to be in. The private pool is wonderful. We did have a problem with the A/C in the master bedroom freezing up the afternoon of our arrival, and we were asked to turn it off. We were told that the repairman would be coming, but he never did, so we did not have the use of the master during our stay, which was disappointing. That said, we understand it was a weekend and that it is an island location, so repair personnel might be difficult to arrange.

Review: Excellent Family Getaway
Our family of four adults and one young child had a really lovely stay at Casa La Mera Mora. We had excellent communication with Patrice and with the house manager ahead of our visit and appreciated their hospitality and flexibility (we changed our dates by a day about 6 weeks before the trip and Patrice was so accommodating!) The house was spacious and the living spaces were extremely comfortable and beautiful. There are three beautifully designed bedrooms each with en suite bathroom. One of the bedrooms had a very tall bed that needed a step stool to get in – luckily the child slept in this room in a portable crib because we might have struggled with such a tall bed. The kitchen was big, clean and very lovely to be in. A few sharp knives and some better cookware would make it perfect for real cooking.
The house is situated in a community which is very much still being developed. It took us a day or two to settle into the fact that there was construction all around us with all of its sounds and dust but honestly, we eventually settled in and it was totally fine. I imagine a year from now the construction will be completely finished and the new development (La Diosa) will be lovely.
Thank you Patrice for a lovely stay, we hope to come back next year!

Review: Omg! Talk about a piece of paradise. We so enjoyed our stay at Casa La Mera Mora. It had all the amenities anyone would need. The decor made is such a fun and happy place to stay. It didn’t feel like a rental. It felt like I was staying in someone’s home. The home had so much personality. I stayed in the Mermaid Room and it just made me smile. One of my favorite features was the hot tub on the rooftop. Talk about a view—with the property being close to the point you can see the water on both sides of the island. At night we would enjoy a glass of wine while taking in the stars and views of the lighted skyline of Cancun. The only downside was when we had to leave. We will definitely visit Casa La Mera Mora again.

Review: This was our 2nd time staying in Isla Mujeres, and it could not have been more perfect thanks to Patrice and Casa La Mera Mora. The house is in a beautiful development on the south end of the island with a very responsive property manager and cleaning services. We fell in love with the house as soon as we got there, it is everything we wanted, and more. Casa La Mera Mora is new, clean, spacious, comfortable, and in a great part of the island. You are within minutes of the best beach clubs on the island and restaurants. Isla Mujeres is one of our favorite places to visit in the Caribbean for its local feel, amazing food, and top beaches. I would highly recommend this property to anyone I know.

Review: Staying in this house was an absolute treat! We loved everything about it, from the beautiful kitchen, to the private pool, and super comfortable beds. The kitchen and living room are filled with natural light and an amazing tiled staircase brings you to the three unique bedrooms. Each bedroom has a private balcony with a view. I would absolutely LOVE to stay here again and we really enjoyed staying on this side of the island. Thank you!

Casa La Mera Mora is absolutely fantastic! We had 8 people in our group for this stay and the space worked perfectly. Great entertainment/gathering spaces for large groups. Also…lots of areas to sneak away and just read a book. Rooftop has 2 areas which is really nice. Beds are comfy and every room has a full bathroom plus another half bath off of main floor so 5 bathrooms in total. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could want! Patrice went over and above to accommodate us and has been an absolute dream to deal with. She gave us a little welcome gift of wine, cookies and beer. Little things to me go a long way. Our whole group loved it and we will definitely be back for another stay.

Review: The home is absolutely beautiful!
We travel to Isla often…but this time in particular was the most memorable!…we usually stay in the same place on Playa Norte but staying down close to Punta Sur was amazing, secluded, and very private. Usually pictures of places can be decieving but not in this case the house was more beautiful than we were anticipating. Its large and expansive with three floors of living! The back yard and pool lit up at night were truly living at its best. Look no further this place is it!
